What is the JEE Exam?
JEE, Which stands for the joint Entrance Exam conducted by the NTA, is a national-level engineering entrance exam. It has two stages: JEE Main and JEE Advanced. JEE (Main) includes two papers : Paper 1 and Paper 2. Paper 1 is designed to determine eligibility for JEE (Advance) and to offer admission to undergraduate engineering programs (BE/BTech) at prominent institutions such as:
• National Institutes of Technology (NITs)
• Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs)
• Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs)
State-funded or recognized universities and institutions. On the other hand, Paper 2 of JEE (Main) is for students seeking admission to undergraduate programs in Architecture (B.Arch.) or Planning (B. Planning). Furthermore, JEE Advanced is a more challenging examination compared to JEE Main, and passing it qualifies applicants for admission to the prestigious Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs).
Which IIT Will Conduct JEE?
The National Testing Agency (NTA) will oversee the JEE Main Exam, scheduled for January and April. Students who have either passed or are appearing for their Class 12th exams will be eligible to apply for the NTA’s Joint Entrance Exam (Main) . JEE Advanced is anticipated to be conducted by IIT Kanpur. Applicants who qualify in JEE Main and rank among the top 2.5 lakh will be eligible to apply for the JEE Advanced exam.
